Description

This is a high quality 2500 W round fan heating element for your oven. Measures 255 mm by 175 mm, and it has three turns.

It pulls in fresh air, warms it up, and then spreads that toasty air all over the oven using forced convection. 

If your oven is not heating up properly, takes longer to reach the desired temperature, or has apparent hot or cold spots, change your fan element.

Cheaper version of branded part

Basically the same as the Baumatic part for my oven, but cost half the price of the brand version. Easy enough to fit, although I ended up having to take the back of the oven off, but that was more to do with my oven than the part itself.

Easy to fit, never tried

Having easily fitted the part, it didn't end up being the solution to fixing my oven in the end as the fault lay elsewhere and I ended up replacing the oven instead without actually being able to use the part. Because of this, I'm unfortunately unable to comment directly on the level of quality of the part. The customer service when dealing with Ransom wasn't great though. I initially paid for next day delivery and it arrived two days later. Granted, there's a message on the site that this may happen due to covid "for 95% of the time", but I emailed and asked for a refund for the difference between the standard and next day delivery and I just received a dismissive response which read that it was going to arrive. Additionally, I did ask if I could return the item and was told that the warehouse don't normally accept opened items but if there are no marks on, then I could send it. I could see his point, but I didn't want to spend money on delivery on the gamble that it may get rejected so I chose to save the hassle.

Ransom made the whole process simple

From beginning to end, the whole process was very easy. Enter the cooker serial number and the list of available parts appears. Click on the element and a link to an instructional, installation video appears. Easy ordering and quick delivery follows. Could not fault. £500 saved.
