This is a genuine oven control knob with a glossy white base and a stainless steel knob.
The knobs control the heat and the cooking fan inside your oven. It has gas marks for adjusting the cooking temperature from 100 up to 200 degrees Celsius max.
With all the daily turning and twisting, the mechanical or electrical bits inside the knob can wear down with use and friction. And it's best to get a replacement if the knobs are not working anymore.

Is the knob white and do you have to top oven one also?

Hi Lorna, this knob is white and the centre is silver. Please submit a part enquiry including the PNC number beginning with 9 from inside the cooker so I can find the correct top oven knob.
