How does a detergent tablet dispenser work in a dishwasher?
The detergent tablet dispenser in a dishwasher holds and releases detergent tablets during the dishwasher's washing cycle. It opens at the appropriate time during the wash cycle to allow water to dissolve the detergent tablet and distribute it evenly throughout the dishwasher.
Why does it get damaged?
Frequent use and exposure to water, heat, and detergent chemicals cause the dispenser's moving parts to wear out or become corroded over time and affect its performance.
Improper loading of large or oversized items in the dishwasher can put pressure on the dispenser, leading to breakage or misalignment. Accidental impacts or rough handling during maintenance or repairs also damage the detergent tablet dispenser.

I have a Beko DFN05R11W Dishwasher. This looks to be the same dispenser as I have on my dishwasher but it’s not listed as compatible on the list. Can you confirm whether this is the correct part for me.

Is this the only dispenser part for this machine? As i only need the sliding hinge part, very poor design broke within a month or 2, can see it breaking agin so don't want to have to replace the hole assembly every time!

Hi, I have just purchased a new Bitron detergent dispenser as per your RS826742 as my original dispenser has always had a problem with the sliding door staying shut when you push it into position. I have since replaced with a new one and the same problem exists! Interestingly, both the old and the new dispensers work perfectly well when not in situ?? Any idea why the door won't stay shut when it is fixed in position but works perfectly well in horizontal and upright position when not installed?
