A cheap solution
When our dishwasher door springs failed recently after 17 years of regular use, I considered a new machine. However, after checking U tube videos my son persuaded me to buy the parts. As each side had two parts, a steel spring and a rope pulley, I reckoned that after many years it was more likely that the rope would have failed. Not until the pulley parts arrived and we pulled out the machine and removed the side panel did I find my mistake. However, the springs were soon ordered and easily installed and the unused pulleys returned with no problems.
