This is a genuine rear drum bearing flange for your tumble dryer.
Stabilises the drum and allows it to spin smoothly during the drying cycle. Also helps to reduce friction between the drum and other components.
It shows signs of damage when it creates grinding or squeaking noises. The drum also moves excessively, cracks appear in the flange, or the drum struggles to rotate smoothly. Change it with this replacement part.

Good product
I ordered several components for our dryer and then decided that it would be beneficial to buy a new one instead of repairing. As advertised
This little bearing fitted neatly to the drier and was the correct part. Thank heaven for a youtube video on how to remove the drum although it wasn't strictly necessary. I had to remove the drum to replace the broken belt. I would have appreciated some contact to inform me that parts were being ordered. As it turned out a dismantled drier in the utility doesn't lead to harmonious living! I have my reservations about Ransome's customer service.

Cured noisy drum rotation
Replacement required due to noisy tumble drier when in use. Easy to fit. No instructions, but did add grease before fitting.

When i renew bearing at back of my dryer do i also need the drum spindel or will it stop sqeeking with the bearing renewed
Hi Alan, this would depend on the condition of the spindle. If this isn't damaged or bent then replacing the bearing should stop the squeak.
