It powers the machine on and chooses wash cycles. They also allow you to adjust settings like water temperature and spin speed, as well as start the washing process.

Arrived quickly and so easy to change!
This part in the washing machine appears to have built in obsolescence.....a real Heath Robinson set up. I limped along with a part broken button for weeks until it finally collapsed. It was so easy to change and took no time to arrive from Ransom. :)
