This genuine 1000W bottom heater element for your oven.
It's at the base of your oven, sending heat upward. You can grill, broil, or roast food on the bottom rack. It can also crisp, caramelise, or brown your dishes depending on the temperature you set before cooking.
When the oven isn't reaching the set temperature or isn't heating at all, or if you notice visible signs of damage such as blisters, cracks, or breaks on the element, it’s time to change it with this replacement part.
This bottom heater element is from AEG. You can also check other suitable brands from the list above.

It Works. V Hard to Fit
The new part looked the same as the old one so that's good. Also it heated up when switched on so, it worked. These are both really a minimum expectation and beyond that, it's difficult for this component to excel (e.g. the heat was the best heat I'd ever felt). On the double oven in question (Zanussi ZOF35511WK) it's a horrible job to fit. It's the lower element in the top oven so needs removal of the back of the oven for access but, rather than simply slide out, it is held in a cradle that puts up a considerable resistance to its removal. You have to remove a vent pipe and push a bunch of insulation out of the way and then effectively bend some bits around to scrape and screech the cradle out. Even the cradle itself has metal tabs that are bent around the element. So all in all it took roughly twice as long as it should have were the oven designed similarly to others.
