Indesit Washing Machine 2-Way Cold Water Inlet Valve
1. Tools needed and safety first
All you’ll need is a Phillips screwdriver.
Firstly, turn off and eliminate all power to your washing machine.
2. Remove lid and access the valve
The inside of the washing machine needs to be accessed. Remove the screws holding the lid in place.
Lift the lid off and place to one side.
Remove valve screw
Remove the screw on the rear of the washing machine that's holding the valve in place.
Remove screws for control panel
Now, remove the screws holding the control panel in place. This needs to be done so the dispenser assembly can move forward in order to remove the valve.
Remove top screws
Remove the two screws on top of the water valve from the dispenser assembly.
Unclip two wire connections
Unclip the two wire connections from the valve, gently pull the tabs back and then remove the wiring connectors.
Remove front control panel
Remove the front control panel by unclipping the two clips on the inside of the washing machine. One is easy to spot, below.
The other (circled orange) is hidden beneath the dispenser drawer. Unclip both these.
You’ll then be able to lift and pull the control panel away from the washing machine.
3. Remove old water inlet valve
To remove the old water inlet valve, pull the valve down and away from the dispenser drawer.
4. Install new water inlet valve
To make the installation easier, unscrew the metal piece running across the top of the washing machine.
Now, install the new valve as shown.
Re-connect wiring
Reconnect the wiring. They’re colour-coded, the white wire in the white connector and the blue wire in the blue connector.
Then, re-screw the two screws into the top metal piece if they were removed.
Re-attach front control panel
Make sure everything is securely in place and then you can re-attach the front control panel back to the washing machine.
Re-screw the screws on either side.
Re-screw water inlet valve screws
Re-screw in place the two screws that hold the water valve and dispenser assembly together.
Re-screw in place the screw on the back of the washing machine holding in place the valve.
Re-attach lid
Finally, re-attach your washing machine lid and then re-screw the two screws in place on the rear of the washing machine.
Your new washing machine cold fill inlet water valve 2 way is all set to go!
