Great product, BUT …..
This was a great replacement part for my hotpoint cooker. BUT if you are using it to replace an original fan motor (ours was a 2017 fan oven) the contact connections have changed slightly and there are no instructions in the box to highlight this. If you are a DIY person, this can be confusing. Other than this shortsightedness, it’s a great product.

Excellent replacement part
I bought this part for my sisters Indesit oven which had stopped working. I’ve previously bought heating elements for this oven from this site so I was confident about the part number being compatible. Annoyingly I didn’t check the rear of the oven first to check the fitting as when I went to fit the part the insulation gasket disintegrated, so I then had to order a new one before I could fit the fan. But all good now and working fine.

In the picture the electrical connections look different to those shown on the Hotpoint page for the equivalent Hotpoint DY46X/2 part (Hotpoint part no J00156111). But it is described as a genuine spare part. Can you clarify why it appears to be different, please. Many thanks.

I own a creda concept solar plus model number 48317 / 8 the fan motor stalls / stops easliy i ve investigated to find numbers etc after watching your video to replace motor fan etc i noticed my creda oven has two fans one inside the oven cabinate and another fan on the outer side please advise is this motor assembly correct for my model Thanks Trevor Ford

Hiya , purchased this motor , slightly different connectors for + - on old motor there on opposite sides
On thiss one there in a block together
With no mark for + or - so which is which

I tried to buy a replacement for this. They all seem to have a backplate to fan mount length 20mm the one in the over is 10mm. 20mm the fan fouls the cover. Will this one fit or can I get long spacers for the fan cover.

How do I know which way round the wires go of the live and neutral as the part looks slightly different.
Hi Hannah, this is an AC motor, so you can fit either wire on either terminal.
